SCHOOL INCURSIONS
KaBOOM! Toons conduct incursions with schools, helping to teach to students basic drawing principles and helping develop skills they may already have.
Jason has conducted school incursions throughout WA, showing kids how easy it really is using your imagination, giving them confidence in their own drawing ability and with simple tips and guidance, gaining basic drawing skills to continue to develop in the future.
Jason explains how he was self taught, growing up in regional WA and working for Walt Disney Animation. Classes usually are an introductory class on creating Cartoon Characters (faces, expressions), Body Shapes, Drawing Hands & Feet. There are a variety of other subject matter available including Action Poses, Superheroes, Cartoon Animals, Caricatures, Creating Comics and more.
Class Curriculum Subject Matter workshops to compliment the student’s written material can be request upon booking an incursion.
Incursions are either a HALF (3hrs) or FULL DAY (6hrs) rate with timeframes per class at your discretion.
Jason is also availble for Artist in Residence (AIR Grant) at your school and has created MURALS at several schools throughout WA.
SCHOOL MURALS
SCHOOL MURAL at One Arm Point RCS - Based on the 6 Indigenous Seasons which incorporated fauna and flora of the surrounding country. All illustrations was the students artwork they had created in class workshops at the start of the week. The mural took 5 days to complete with student involvement in both the flat colour fill of each image and patten designs.
